Wallis

Wallis is a Swiss canton with 350’000 inhabitants. It is the sunniest canton of Switzerland. Wallis produces very good wines.

Wallis has 46 mountains that are higher than 4’000 meters above sea, amongst them you will fin the Matterhorn and the Dufourspitze which is the highest peak of Switzerland (4’634 meters above sea). In Wallis you will find the biggest glacier of Europe the Aletsch glacier that is part of the UNESCO world heritage. In Wallis you will also find the biggest underground lake of Europe, the “underground lake of St-Léonard”.
